Nikolai came to Portugal from Ukraine more than 30 years ago. What was meant to be a new chapter became a lifelong story.
He didn't learn this country from a guidebook. He learned it by living here — through its neighbourhoods, its seasons, its hidden coastal roads and the quiet villages most tourists never find. Over the years, Portugal became not just his home, but his passion.
